For example, the protocol for the vertebral column (cervical, thoracic and lumbar) reveals that from the junction holes of the vertebrae of the whole spine, the roots of the sensory and motor nerves emerge from the spinal cord. These are directed or coming from the periphery, innervating the skin, sweat glands and sebaceous, blood vessels and muscles of whole body. By these same routes the nerves of the autonomic nervous system (sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves) travel to innervate the entire splanchnic territory, thus regulating the functioning of organs and viscera.
